FAQs
What is the cladding life cycle?
Cladding manufacturers define the lifespan of cladding as the period of time until the 1st maintenance.
Stages of the cladding life cycle:
1. Chalking- a thin whitish layer can be seen and a loss or fading of colour
2. Breakdown of coating- the original coating begins to perish
3. Corrosion of the metal clad coating
4. Failure of the substrate
It is important to maintain the cladding, using one of our services, before stage 4 is reached. Once the substrate has failed it will need replacing.
