As a general rule of thumb the original factory coating on metal cladding has a lifespan of around 15 years. How old is your roof?

Some of the tell-tale initial visual signs of cladding in need of refurbishment are described as:

• Stage 1 Chalking: When a white layer can be seen and a loss or fading of colour
• Stage 2 Perishing: The original pre finish coating will begin to perish
• Stage 3 Corrosion: Leading to corrosion of the metal cladding and failure of the substrate
